he eccentric designer and former owner of Villa San Clemente, Clemente Jacques, looked to the natural undulations and heaven-on-earth peaks of his chosen spot and was inspired by the nearby monastery de Navidad, built in the 16th century, to create a castle and chapel, now known as Hacienda Clemente Jacques.

Current owner's representative, P. Hogan along with local architect A. Moctezuma continue the legend with a new, equally spectacular home completely separated from the Castillo: Villa San Clementito.

The separate chapel, unconsecrated because of a dispute between the eccentric Jacques and the local parish priest, has a conference table and chairs for simultaneous group activities or private research.

San Clementito justifiably claims to be in a magical place, one hour from Mexico City and a million miles from its bustle. You will pass wild flowers, butterflies, craggy mountains and jagged cliffs, through a landscape of mystical fantasy, to enter the gates of Villa San Clementito.

Claimed as the birthplace of Quetzalcoatl, you experience a legendary power that is born of the great plumed serpent. This dramatic land of Quetzalcoatl definitely directed Jacques and Hogan in their choice and use of native materials.

Down from the Villa you reach the tennis court and walk through the meadow to observe the cleverly designed aqueduct system, which provides both fresh and agricultural water for homestead and property needs.
